Welcome to the Block Parent® Program of Canada web site.

If you are new to the site we hope you will take some time to look around, if you have been here before we hope you like the new additions and improvements.

The Block Parent® Program of Canada web site has something for all ages: parents, children and seniors. You will find safety tips, colouring sheets and general information regarding the Block Parent® Program and our sponsors. One of our more popular pages is our interactive map that takes you to the provinces who have their own web sites.

As we come to the close of the United Nation's International Year of the Volunteer we would like to acknowledge the thousands of volunteers who help keep our Program alive from coast to coast.

Every year, Block Parents provide help to hundreds of people: children who are lost, seniors who suddenly feel ill while walking in their neighbourhood or teens who are bothered by bullies. The distinctive red and white sign in the window of a home means that someone is there to answer your knock on the door and offer assistance. In addition to the traditional single family home, the Block Parent® safety network is expanding into small businesses. Increasingly, the Business Block Parent® decal is being seen in store windows, indicating that help is at hand.
